The humanification of everyday things

I might have requested the tv remote a couple times to work while hitting it on my palm in order to reduce the volume so I do not disturb someone sleeping.

My grudge on the table where I stub my toe. I will not move it or create space but snarl at it with anger, for it has caused me pain.

A blanket I’ve used since the past ten years is now an unannounced member of my family, a valuable that the other members just take care of.

The sense of guilt when the food that should have been removed from the hot pan stays longer & gets burnt. I apologise, to my body.

The shelf I cleaned two days back, gets dusty & gets loathed for being this dependent.

Humans are taught to run after abstract meanings but are the ultimate realities, things ? We shape our lives according to those and even mould our realities based on what we have or have to deal with today and even though :

Humans might be a lot of things but a lot of things, are human.
